Solution:

The machine was developed by our team from initial concept through to completion. The machine was 3D modelled in Autodesk Inventor from our concept drawings.

The manufactured components were, depending on the component, built in house or shopped out due to time, manpower or equipment constraints. Off the shelf components were sourced, where possible, in Australia.

The

machine prototyping

and construction were all completed at our premises, which included mechanical, control system, pneumatic and electrical components.

The construction phase was then followed by a testing and fine tuning phase before the machine was shipped to, and commissioned at, the customers premises.

Technology:

The flavoured drinking straw filling machine incorporated multiple

servo motor

interaction. There are 3

servo controlled

belt conveyors, 2

servo controlled

filter inserters and a

servo controlled

straw feed mechanism. The Pneumatics ranged from standard cylinders to air fans. The machine was controlled by a

PLC

and interfaced via a touch screen HMI.
